Matthew Feinstein Posts Top-10 Performance at Wildcat Spring Invitational

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Graduate student Matthew Feinstein earned his second top-10 finish of the season to lead William & Mary at the Wildcat Spring Invitational on Tuesday at the LuLu Country Club.
 
Feinstein fired a final round 1-under 70 to finish the tournament at even par and in a share of seventh individually. As a team, the Tribe moved up five spots from round one to finish in seventh among the 15-team field.
 

The Tribe carded a second round 2-over 286, which was the second-best final 18 holes in the tournament field. W&M shot 300 in the opening round and finished the two days at 586 (+18). Villanova won its home event behind an even par 568.
 
Feinstein fired his ninth round of par or better this season in the second round, which ranks 13th on the Tribe’s single-season list. His 22 career rounds of par or better are ninth in program history. Feinstein, who recorded his sixth career top 10, ranked fourth in the field in par 4 scoring at even par and seventh in total pars with 24.
 
Freshman Charlie Bundy matched Feinstein’s second round 1-under 70 for the best round of the tournament for a Tribe player. It moved up the Tribe rookie to a share of 26th in the 95-player field. He carded a 5-over 147 over the two-day event. His round of 70 was his eighth of par or better this season.
 
Senior Trevor Binau (6-over 148) and sophomore Logan Hunter (7-over 149) both finished inside the top half of the tournament field at 32nd and 39th, respectively. Binau shot his best round of the tournament on Tuesday, posting a 1-over 72.
